American Hospital Association
The AHA is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities.
California Association of Public Hospitals (CAPH)
For more than 30 years, California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (CAPH) has represented California’s 21 public health care systems, including county-affiliated systems and the five University of California academic medical centers. CAPH develops and advocates for innovative programs and policies – including state and federal legislation and California’s $7.1b Section 1115 Medicaid Waiver – that are providing millions of Californians with increased access to higher quality health care. They offer detailed financial analyses, guidance and counsel to officials and staff to help them develop policies that enable public health care systems to best serve their communities.
California Department of Health Services (Medi-Cal)
This is the main online site for the State of California Department of Healthcare Services which administers the State Medi-Cal program.
California Hospital Association
Based in Sacramento, CHA is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals and health systems in California. CHA includes nearly 450 hospital and health system members, and more than 150 Executive, Associate and Personal members.
Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services
CMS runs the Medicare program, Medicaid program, and State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). CMS, with the Departments of Labor and Treasury, helps millions of Americans and small companies get health insurance coverage. CMS also helps eliminate discrimination based on health status for people buying health insurance.

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services
HHS is the United States government’s principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The department has more than 300 programs covering medical and social science research, preventing outbreak of infectious disease, assuring food and drug safety, Medicare and Medicaid, etc.
Health Resources & Services Administration
HRSA’s mission is to improve and expand access to quality health care for all. HRSA assures the availability of quality health care to low income, uninsured, isolated, vulnerable and special needs populations. HRSA seeks to meet unique health care needs.
Healthcare Financial Management Association
HFMA is the nation’s leading personal membership organization for healthcare financial management professionals. HFMA brings perspective and clarity to the industry’s complex issues.
National Rural Health Association
The NRHA is a national nonprofit membership organization with more than 18,000 members. The association’s mission is to provide leadership on rural health issues. The NRHA membership is made up of a diverse collection of individuals and organizations, all of whom share the common bond of an interest in rural health.
Office of the Federal Register
The U.S. Government Printing Office and the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration work closely to disseminate the official text of Federal laws; Presidential documents; administrative regulations and notices; and descriptions of Federal organizations, programs and activities.
Social Security Administration
The main on-line site for U.S. Social Security Administration services: checking eligibility, status, applying, requesting reports, replacing lost cards, replacement 1099’s, etc.
Code of Federal Regulations
The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the official legal print publication containing the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the departments and agencies of the Federal Government.
Medicare Payment Advisory Commission
The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission is a nonpartisan independent legislative branch agency that provides the U.S. Congress with analysis and policy advice on the Medicare program.
Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission
The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission is a non-partisan legislative branch agency that provides policy and data analysis and makes recommendations to Congress, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the states on a wide array of issues affecting Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
The ACGME is an independent, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization that sets and monitors voluntary professional educational standards essential in preparing physicians to deliver safe, high-quality medical care to all Americans. The ACGME oversees the accreditation of GME residency and fellowship programs in the US.
Association of American Medical Colleges
The AAMC is a not-for-profit association dedicated to transforming health through medical education, health care, medical research, and community collaborations.
